![]() If you happen to be in the Miami, Marco Island or Fort Myers areas, you have another terrific transportation alternative to getting to and from Key West. There are several reliable ferries that frequent Key West from the aforementioned Florida locations. From the Ports of Miami, the Key West Express can get you to and from Key West. The trip each way takes about four hours and is seasonal, so call in advance to inquire about their timetables. From Fort Myers Beach, there's the Big Cat, Atlanticat and Key West Express. From Marco Island, you can count on the Whale Watcher to get you to Key West. Please note that the Marco Island excursions are seasonal. Call ahead to see if they are sailing during the time you are looking to be in Key West. The trip from Fort Myers Beach and Marco Island to Key West takes approximately three-and-a-half hours.
